Enemy Soil

Biography

Wouldn’t a super-grinding-group featuring J.-R. Hayes, Brian Harvey and Brian Evans of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Pig Destroyer wet any of your dreams ?

Well, that band existed prior to these two murderous packs. It was named Enemy Soil!

Enemy Soil was a grindcore band from Virginia started in 1991 by Richard Johnson (guitar and vocals) Vaughn (vocals) and Mason (bass) along with a drum machine. The band, influenced by early Napalm Death and Terrorizer, nevertheless developed their unique, twisted, brand of socialy-aware Grindcore and released, during their quite ten years long career, a shit load of EPs, split EPs and LPs which are all, besides their “Casualties of Progress” EP, included on “Smashes the state!” discography album released by Bones Brigade records.

Disbanded in 2000, the band reunited for a unique show in 2001, video taping it and releasing it as the “Smashes the state!” DVD (Relapse).
