What do Asphyx, Cliteater, Deströyer 666, God Dethroned, Legion Of The Damned, Mangled, Occult, Prostitute Disfigurement, Severe Torture, Sinister have in common besides being very great bands, each in their own style ? They all have / are featuring Inhume members, past and present.
And what does Inhume stand for ? Ultra (and when we say “ultra”, we really fuckin’ mean it!) brutal Death Metal. Probably one of the most intense, heavy, brutal and crushing of the whole genre!
Leading the way in brutal Death Metal since 1994, Inhume started out as a nine piece on the initial try-out but nowadays slinked down to a quintet setting out to conquer the world with unmatched brutality and grinding madness. True to its “talent picker” reputation, Bones Brigade records signed the band and released its debut full-length, “Decomposing from inside”, on 2000 and the album went so well that Inhum started being noticed as a forthcoming force to count with within the brutal Death Metal underground scene.
Offers from various labels arouse, including the infamous “Dutch assault” compilation seat by Relapse on which Inhume shared some disk space with label-mates Last Days Of Humanity (another band Bones Brigade discovered, remember ?) before signing to Osmose and releasing its second full-length, “In for the kill” the very same year (2003).
The band pursued its cooperation with both labels, resulting in the release of their third full-length, “Chaos, dissection, order” (Osmose) and a split EP with another band having released some stuff on Bones Brigade records: Mumakil (Relapse). Both were released during 2007.
Having destroyed stages all over the world, Inhume has become one of the biggest brutal Death Metal acts around with a live reputation being one of the best out there!. The fourth full-length, “Moulding the Deformed”, has been released in 2010.
