‘Counting On’ Fans Question When This Duggar Couple Will Announce Another Pregnancy

The Duggar family is one of the largest families in the United States. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar share 20 children, and both parents champion for their kids to have as many of their own children as God wants. With that, pregnancy announcements have become important yet common events within the family. And some viewers can’t help but wonder when one Counting On couple will announce another pregnancy.

When Josh and Anna wed back in 2008, so began a whole new generation of Duggar children. The two welcomed their first child shortly after tying the knot, and since then, they’ve become parents to six kids. But Joe and Kendra Duggar might not be far behind — and fans think these two will have more children than any other family members.

Joe and Kendra wed back in 2017, and they welcomed their first son exactly nine months later. From there, the two didn’t wait long to announce another pregnancy, prompting fans to suggest that the couple could be on their way to beating Michelle and Jim Bob in number of kids. Then, when Kendra became pregnant with the couple’s third child at 21, people were more convinced than ever that these two could break the Duggar record.

Some are wondering when — and if — John and Abbie Duggar will announce another pregnancy

John and Abbie Duggar are one of the more intriguing Duggar couples. The two didn’t wed until their late 20s, which is rare for a Duggar marriage (most of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s kids wed by their early 20s). The couple also didn’t follow traditional courting rules, taking a more modest approach to courting by not having chaperones on every date.

John and Abbie’s daughter recently turned nine months and viewers can’t help but wonder if Abbie’s difficult bout with morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum) will affect the couple announcing another pregnancy.

“She had to be hospitalized and had IV fluids a few times. I don’t think she’ll be aiming for 20 [kids],” one user posted to Reddit. “She looked so sick from pregnancy. I wonder if she’s even gonna try for another?” someone else questioned. “I think [hyperemesis gravidarum] gets worse with every pregnancy too so she is going to be miserable for the next 15-ish years if they let God decide how many children they will have,” another person added.

Jinger and Kendra Duggar are both pregnant

If Abbie announces another pregnancy soon, she’ll join two other Duggar women who are currently expecting. Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo announced back in May that their second child is due this November. Later, Joe and Kendra Duggar announced that baby no. 3 is on the way; she’s due in February.

Some fans theorize that John and Abbie want to take things more slowly than other Duggars and not have so many children. There has been speculation that some Duggars do take birth control, and Jill Duggar confirmed that she and Derick Dillard use non-hormonal birth control. It’s unclear whether Abbie does as well.
