SEXTON, WMUR NEWS NINE. NEW HAMPSHIRE IS GETTING MORE THAN. $763,000 FROM THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, MONEY TO HELP IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH CARE FOR STUDENTS. New Hampshire is getting more than $763,000 dollars from the federal government to help improve mental health care for students.The money will go to the University of New Hampshire to train mental health professionals to work primarily in kindergarten through 12th-grade schools.This is part of the Safer Communities Act signed into law last summer.In all, more than $95 million in grants are going to schools and colleges across the country.
