Kate Middleton Wore a Sunny Yellow Blazer to Mark Mental Health Awareness Week in Bath

Kate Middleton is back in action post-coronation! After a few days off, the Princess of Wales was in Bath this morning to mark Mental Health Awareness Week.

She visited a Dame Kelly Holmes DKH Trust social and emotional mental health program at the Percy Community Centre. The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust links athletes with teenagers for mentorship. As the Trust explains, this partnership is meant to equip teens “with a winning mindset and shaping their futures—it’s a teammate like no other. Whether that’s building relationship skills, improving self-esteem or learning to stay focused, our sporting champions help the next generation move forward with confidence.”

Kate met with teenage girls who attend St Katherine’s School in Bristol, and who have experienced mental health challenges. During her visit, Kate played a game as an ice breaker with the girls. Afterwards, the group discussed team building, friendship, and coping strategies for mental health struggles.

For the event, Kate opted for a sunny yellow L.K. Bennett blazer, a H&M ribbed white top, and her favorite Veja “Esplar” metallic leather sneakers. Her yellow blazer coordinated with the lanyards the girls were wearing.

Prince William and Kate have long been focused on raising awareness surrounding mental health. In 2016, along with Prince Harry, they launched the mental health initiative Heads Together, and in 2019, they helped to launch the mental health platform Every Mind Matters and Shout, a crisis text line.

Across the pond, Kate’s in-laws Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also marking Mental Health Awareness Month. Yesterday, their foundation Archewell shared that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited a youth group in Santa Barbara to discuss social media and mental health.
