Surprise! Kelly Rowland is expecting her second child with husband Tim Weatherspoon, and their bundle of joy is due to arrive before the year’s over. The 39-year-old singer revealed the news in the November cover story for Women’s Health, posing for a series of stunning pictures and opening up about why she’s kept her second pregnancy under wraps for so long.

Kelly shared that she and Tim had been “loosely” talking about expanding their family and giving their 5-year-old son, Titan, a younger sibling earlier this year, right before she wound up getting pregnant. However, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, demands for social justice, and such widespread economic decline, she was hesitant to announce the news — especially because fans have been waiting with bated breath for updates on her new album. “I was thinking, ‘Oh my god, my fans are gonna be so disappointed . . . They wanted an album first, but they got a baby!’ And I was like, ‘I have to figure this out so they get both.'”

Ultimately, the songstress chose to share her pregnancy, because “you still want to remind people that life is important,” she said. “Being able to have a child . . . I’m knocking at 40’s door in February. Taking care of myself means a lot to me.” Well, we sure are glad she decided to be featured in Women’s Health‘s latest cover story, because whew, the photos are breathtaking! Wearing two different orange gowns and a handful of two-piece crop-top sets, the singer showed off her growing belly on a beach and looked like an absolute goddess.
