Nyma Peracha’s tryst with the Keto lifestyle started about four years ago purely out of curiosity. It happened that she was suffering from hormonal problems and had read that a Keto diet helps balance hormones. So she decided to give it a try. Since then, she’s got pregnant, delivered a healthy baby girl and says she has never felt better.
Wanting other people to reap the mental and physical benefits of Keto, Peracha, co-founded, Be More Keto, to guide people towards a healthy lifestyle. The Keto or Ketogenic diet is a form of eating wherein you consume high fats, moderate proteins, and minimal carbs to promote weight loss. Invented nearly 100 years ago, Keto is a popular weight loss diet systems that has counts many celebs among its followers including Halle Berry and Kourtney Kardashian.

How is Keto different from other diets?
I do not see Keto as a diet. It is more of a lifestyle change. People tend to think it is a fad diet and is limiting but actually the only foods being removed are overly processed ones and those that have sugar.
What are the mental and physical changes people can expect from following a Keto diet?
Eliminating sugary foods has enabled to get rid of inflammation and enhance brain function. It also helps maintain a steady insulin level which positively impacts brain function. Keto has also made me look younger!
What are some of the health benefits of Keto according to you?
Keto is good for people suffering from diabetes and diseases that cause inflammation. Eliminating sugar and carbs helps maintain steady insulin level.
What side-effects do Keto diet have?
Unfortunately, Keto has earned a bad reputation because several people were just not following the right method, but if it is done in a correct manner, then there are none.
Can anyone follow Keto?
Keto is not suited for everyone. But if done under supervision and in the right manner, it can help people achieve their health goals.
What food can one consume while on a Keto diet and what are the things to avoid?
Foods such as avocados, Brazil nuts, Macadamia nuts, salmon, grass-fed meat, chicken, organic cheese, organic eggs, almond milk, ghee, kale, spinach are good. Foods to avoid are refined sugar, carbohydrates products such as bread, pasta and rice. The main goal of a Keto diet is to derive all your energy from healthy fats.
