Nigerian Afrobeats Star Mohbad’s Death Linked to Negligent Nursing Assistant

The death of Nigerian Afrobeats star, Mohbad, has taken a dramatic turn as police have identified a nursing assistant as the prime suspect in the case. The nursing assistant allegedly injected Mohbad with drugs in a negligent manner, leading to his untimely demise. According to the police, Mohbad sustained an injury during a violent altercation with his childhood friend, Oluwatosin Owoduni. In the heat of the fight, Mohbad attempted to strike Owoduni but ended up cutting his hand when he smashed a car window. In an attempt to seek medical assistance, Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, called on nursing assistant Feyisayo Ogedengbe to treat the star at his home. However, it has come to light that Ogedengbe was not qualified to administer the injections that she gave Mohbad. After being injected with three different drugs, Mohbad started experiencing vomiting and convulsions.

Mohbad was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, he did not survive. His body was laid to rest the following day, leaving his fans and the music industry in a state of shock. The police investigation has revealed that Ogedengbe, as a nursing assistant, did not have the necessary qualifications to administer the injections that led to Mohbad’s deteriorating condition.

The police have not disclosed the specific charges that Ogedengbe and Owoduni will face. However, Sadiq has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a felony, as he invited an unqualified nurse to treat Mohbad in a non-clinical setting. This tragic incident has also resulted in the arrest of Afrobeats star Naira Marley and music promoter Sam Larry, who have been accused of bullying and harassing Mohbad.

Although Marley and Larry were out of the country at the time of Mohbad’s injury and subsequent death, the police claim to have electronic evidence and credible witnesses linking them to cyberbullying, threats to Mohbad’s life, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. Marley, a prominent figure in Nigerian pop music, has denied any involvement in Mohbad’s death.
