Named after a French medieval instrument of torture, it was obvious that brutal Death Metal band Brodequin would have been, one day or the other, signed by the most extreme French label, Bones Brigade records!
The band, including former Besieged and Enter Self drummer Chad Walls, released a debut album, “Instruments of torture” on its own, but soon after, reissued it through Extremist records.
The following year, 2001, Bones Brigade records picked them up and offered them to be part of a four ways split CD meant to promote young, talentful extreme bands… Other acts were Aborted, Drowing and Misery Index. That very same year, Unmatched Brutality released the band’s second full-length, “Festival of death”. Unfortunately, Brodequin splitted up soon after.
Brodequin returned in December of 2004 with the album “Methods of execution”, released by Unmatched Brutality again. Since then, and despite they’re rumoured to still be active, Brodequin remained silent.
